  1. Canceling your registration

To cancel, email staff@performanceinpolicing.com with your name, the class name and date, and (if your agency paid) the invoice or purchase order number. Your cancellation date is the date we receive your email. Cancellation requests must come from the registrant or from an authorized representative of the agency that registered you.

Refund percentages are based on the number of days between the date we receive your request and the class start date.

  1. Transfers and substitutions
  • Substituting another person. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your seat to another eligible person, including from your agency, at no charge if you notify us at least [2] days before the class. Provide the new attendee’s name, agency, and TCOLE PID (if required) so their training can be reported correctly.
  • Moving to a different class. You may request to move to another scheduled class, subject to availability. If the new class costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, we will credit the difference toward a future class / refund the difference.
  • Credits. Any credit we issue is valid for [12] months from the date of issue and may be used for any of our classes. Credits are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
  1. If we cancel or change a class
  • Class canceled by us. You may choose a full refund or a credit toward another class. Cancellations may occur for low enrollment, instructor unavailability, unsafe conditions, weather, facility issues, or other circumstances outside our control.
  • Class rescheduled by us. You may attend the new date or request a full refund if the new date does not work for you.
  • Notice. We will notify you using the email address or phone number you provided, so please keep it current.
  • Other costs. We are not responsible for travel, lodging, time off, or other costs related to a canceled or rescheduled class. We recommend that you wait for our confirmation before booking non-refundable travel.
  1. Missed classes, late arrival, and partial attendance

Training credit generally requires attendance for the entire class, and we cannot report hours for sessions you did not complete. Late arrivals, early departures, and missed sessions are not eligible for a refund. If you miss a class for a documented emergency, illness, or agency-directed reassignment, contact us within [5] days and we will consider offering a transfer or credit on a case-by-case basis.

  1. Removal from class

If we remove someone from a class for unsafe, disruptive, or unprofessional conduct, or for violating our class rules or the terms of any required waiver, no refund or credit is owed. If someone cannot participate because they did not complete a required waiver or bring required equipment, the no-show and partial-attendance rules apply.

  1. Agency invoices and purchase orders
  • If an agency has not yet paid an invoice, canceling a registration in accordance with this policy will cancel or reduce the invoice by the applicable amount.
  • If an agency has paid, we will issue the applicable refund or credit to the agency, not to the individual attendee, unless the agency directs otherwise in writing.
  • Agencies with a purchase order should include the PO number in any cancellation or refund request.
  1. TCOLE credit and refunds

We are not able to refund a class because hours were not accepted, applied, or counted toward a specific requirement, provided you attended the full class and we or our TCOLE training provider partner reported the training. If you believe your hours are missing or reported incorrectly, contact us at staff@performanceinpolicing.com, and we will work with our partner to correct the record. It is your responsibility to confirm that a class meets your requirements before registering.

  1. How refunds are issued
  • Card payments: refunded to the original card within about [10] business days after approval. Your bank may take additional time to post the refund.
  • Invoice or check payments: refunded by check or electronic transfer to the paying agency, or applied as a credit, within about [30] days after approval.
  • Processing fees: Payment processors may not return their fees on refunds. If a non-refundable processing fee applies, it will be shown at checkout.

Please do not dispute a charge with your bank before contacting us. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly, and most problems can be fixed faster directly.

  1. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect on the date you registered applies to that registration. We will post updates on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
